2022/2023 Batch A Transfer Application

Eligibility for Transfer

Ahmadu Bello University Students:

1.  University minimum entry requirements for admission must be satisfied
2.  Transfer from professional to non-professional programme is allowed
3.  Transfer from non-professional to professional programme is not allowed
4.  The minimum CGPA for transfer is 1.50
5.  For UTME candidates, transfer is only allowed from 200 and 300 levels for 4-year degree programmes and 200 to 400 levels for 5-year degree programmes.
6.  For UTME, intra- university transfer is only allowed for candidates who have attained two semesters.
7.  For Direct Entry, Intra-university transfer is only allowed for candidates who have attained at least one academic session (two semesters).
8.  Candidates withdrawn or expelled from ABU are not eligible for transfer to ABUDLC.
9.  For some programmes, students must satisfy additional professional requirements (example, B.NSc. Nursing).

Students from other institutions:

1.  National university minimum entry requirements for admission must be satisfied.
2.  Transfer from NUC accredited/recognized Universities to ABU is allowed.
3.  The minimum CGPA for inter-university transfer is 2.40
4.  Transfer is only allowed from 200 and 300 levels for 4-year degree programmes and 200 to 400 levels for 5-year degree programmes.
5.  Candidates withdrawn or expelled from other Universities are not eligible for the transfer.
6.  For some programmes, students must satisfy additional professional requirements (example, B.NSc. Nursing).
